Where will we walk?

The Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostela is 600 km. The average time to walk is about a month. Since we did not have a month this year, we decided to just do a portion for around a week. Our 5 days of walking will start in Foncebadon and 128 km later we hope to be in Sarria!

Day 1 – Foncebadon  to Ponferrado ~ 27 km

Training for the Camino!

We started our training on March 13th in Sabino Canyon.  The road to the top is 7 3/8 miles round trip and elevation change of 750 ft.  We completed this in 2 hrs.

Other training sessions have included Tumamoc Hill in Tucson for elevation change,  McDowell Sonoran Gateway trail for both distance  and terrain, some six mile walks for endurance and a 4 hour walk in Scottsdale for different terrain and endurance!
